Are you waiting for your life to begin, or building it while you wait?
Why this question matters
Waiting is spoken about as a posture, but it is lived as a calendar. Years pass inside it.
The risk is not impatience. It is treating the present as a waiting room rather than a life.
You may be carrying
- Decisions postponed until a relationship arrives
- A home you have not made properly because it feels temporary
- Advice that waiting means doing nothing
- A genuine desire you have been told to stop naming
Consider this
- Name one decision you have delayed that does not require anyone else.
- Consider that contentment and desire can share a room.
- Look at what you have built already. Most people undercount it.

What are you building now that you would not want to lose when the season changes?

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
The waiting described here is active and strengthening, not a life held in suspension.
What others may be carrying
